As previs artist I worked of a huge amount of assets, characters, creatures and environments. I got the first tasks on The Hobbit at the beginning of 2010, and I worked as previs artist until june 2012. Then I moved to production, to help building the digital set of the Goblins Cavern.
By the time this production video was shot, I was already in production… shame!
As environment modeller I worked with Michael smale in the blocking and layout of the Goblins Cavern, converting John Howe amazing concepts into proper CG environments.
Almost 6 months spent “moving rocks” and “placing platforms” for the reveal sequence on the King’s dome, and the long dolly for the Last Bridge, where the party face the King for the last time.
It was well worth in the end!
